About the Author
Shaun McCarthy has written over twenty education books for the primary, secondary and post sixteen sectors. He specialises in English and Drama. He is also a playwright and poet. He has had four full collections of poetry published and has won the Dublin Herald/National Irish Poetry Prize. His plays have been produced at theatres such as Bristol Old Vic and the Actors' Centre Covent Garden. His radio plays have been broadcast on BBC Radios 3 and 4. He is a lyricist for National Youth Music Theatre, a theatre assessor for the Arts Council of England and teaches a course in playwriting at Bristol University.
