About the Author
David Belbin's first novel was published in 1990 under the Scholastic Point Crime imprint. He has written several YA novels and a police series, The Beat, for Scholastic, as well as suspense novels for Mammoth and Penguin. His novel, Love Lessons, was awarded second prize in the 2000 North Eastern Book Awards (after Harry Potter!). He is an avid music fan and attended the Glastonbury Festival in 2000 for 'research'.

Great easy read.
I picked this book up at the library because it was about glastounbury festival..a place which I'd LOVE to go to. The book was pretty interesting...David Beblin is obviously very in touch with teenage culture and society. It was one of those easy going, hard-to-put down books. It had quite a lot of story line to it and you feel like youre really there at the festival while reading it. However, I felt the characters of wilf and jake were left too undeveloped..apart from that..great reccomended book!

THE festival - it all starts here...
Summer kicks off for the four main characters when they travel to Glastonbury for the legendary rock festival. For three of them, it's a struggle just getting there but once they arrive, the fun begins. Holly however is a little less optimistic. This is her tenth Glastonbury and wants it to be her last - going with your parents can't be much fun. Poor Jake doesn't get off to a good start, and neither does Wilf. Leila is forced to go with somebody she barely calls a friend but when she meets new people, things really kick off. Starts a little unrealistically as there is no mud but the characters are excellent and I really picked up on the vibes of a festival. After being totally absorbed in this book for twenty-four hours, I can't wait to go to a festival myself. Krank up your stereo and roll on summer!

dissapointing
i thought this book would be brill, i've always dreamed of going to Glastonbury so i thought this book would be good. dont get me wrong david belbin is experianced and writes about Glastonbury very well, but i hated the way the story was shared with lots of people. although i liked the way they were all linked in all these different ways it started to get confusing and muddled up! i was a little disapointed
