Product Description

He's all right, my dad. He's as strong as a gorilla and as happy as a hippopotamus. He's a great dancer, a brilliant singer, he's fantastic at football and he makes me laugh. A lot. But that's not all that's great about my dad...This is a warm, hilarious, witty and very personal tribute to Dad (and to dads everywhere) by the ever-brilliant and inventive Anthony Browne.

Terrific for Tots!4
This is a beautifully illustrated book, and the top favorite of my 15 month old son! It's easy to read aloud because it flows in a lovely sing-song manner, and each page has subtle new surprises hidden in the illustrations so story time doesn't get boring fo adults.

In praise of Dads5
Dads get their worth acknowledged here. Fabulous book which is beautifully illustrated. Our son loves it and goes very silly when it reaches the end where the narrator (a small boy) talks about how much he loves his Dad and how much his Dad loves him.
The Dad in our house always gets a big hug at the end of this one.

Great for fathers5
I got this book for fathers day from my over sentimental wife, sorry son, it is great.
I remember thinking that my dad was as big as a house and that must be how my young chap sees me ( though I do admit I have gained a few pounds round the middle which won't help!).
The writing is simple and has lots of repetition which is just what young children need to help them on the ladder of learning to read.
the pictures are fun and enhance the story without taking it over completely.
A great book. I like, my son likes it. I can't ask for more.
one thing though as the story is told from the point of view of a young boy (as shown on the last picture) it will not be quite as relevant for young girls.
