Great book
This book is great for my 1st year uni course, its well written, accessible and has lots of well drawn diagrams to help understand the concepts. Its the kind of book thats interesting to read even if your not studying the subject.

Fantastic study aid
Have been using this as a study aid for Geology, Earth history, Environmental studies and even a little basic Chemistry for my degree, easy to follow with plenty illustrations, I carry it everywhere.

Fascinating, comprehensive, nicely illustrated
I have an amateur interest in landscape and geology, and this book is an endless source of fascination for me. It's clear and thorough and full of excellent illustrations and diagrams. It doesn't have the dryness of some academic books - in fact it seems to me a book that even inquisitive children would probably get something from. Not that it's oversimplified - it just explains things clearly.
