An inspirational alternative guide to Cusco's Sacred Valley5
I really enjoyed this book firstly as a spiritual novel, then as an alternative guide book. Having a long time interest in Peru, and a determination to actually get there, I found the local information invaluable. I have just returned, and took this book and a regular guide. The information, history, spiritual ceremonies in Elizabeth's book, really brought an added dimension, depth and a richness to my adventure there. And I thank her for that. Elizabeth has lived in Cusco for a time, and knows the area very well. She writes in a friendly relaxed manner, voicing her thoughts, her hopes and fears to the reader, as she may to a friend. So immediately you are on the journey with her, walking around Cusco, visiting friends and temples alike, eating wonderful food, maybe suffering altitude sickness. All reality is there, and of course her wonderful experiences within the Andean spirituality. I loved it and thoroughly recommend it.

A fantastic and gripping book - I'm off to Peru5
For any one beginning their spiritual journey, this book helps you understand that we all just have scratched the tip of the iceberg.

A very interesting and gripping book. A book that also makes you want to buy a ticket and follow in the authors footsteps.

Thank you for writing this book.

Justina.

What a wonderful book5
Initiation: A Woman's Spiritual Adventure in the Heart of the Andes
This is a very interesting book and one that I would recommend to anyone interested in the spiritual side of life and also in Peru. I visited Peru in 2002 and Elizabeths book brought back many happy memories of interesting places. I read this book in just a few days as it was fascinating, spiritual and informative and easy to read. I could hardly bear to put it down. I felt as though I was living the adventure with her. It's definitely well worth reading.
