About the Author
Edward Bond first gained wide prominence at London's Royal Court Theatre after the 1965 staging of his most famous play, Saved. His other work includes The Pope's Wedding, Early Morning, Narrow Road to the Deep North, Lear and some two dozen other dramas. He frequently writes for newspapers and journals, reflecting on the state of theatre.
