A good summary4
This is one of those books you wish you had read before you started on the others! Although nothing especially new is said it gives a very good overall synopsis of the argument about the early modern period's military revolution.

There are plenty of examples, and it is intelligently written. Personally I like the bitesize style with plenty of headings and subtitles to help split up the information.

The last chapter on society is by far the largest in the book and is certainly the most informative and interesting and I would recommend this book to anyone inerested in the period.
