Customer Reviews

A practical guide - at last!5
This book is a must for anyone conducting educational research whose central tenets are based on values. It offers practical advice as well as grounding the knowledge and theory carefully and in a scholarly manner. The different sections offer support for the researcher's action enquiry in manageable stages, whilst at the same time requiring rigour, self-reflection and the development of individual theory from the enquirer. The book is both very useful and informative. I would recommend it to anyone embarking on an action enquiry for the first time, but also to seasoned action researchers because of its comprehensive scope. It is written in a simple and unadorned style, in logical sequence and with examples to enable deeper understanding.

Simple guide to action research (get what you pay for)2
I had to buy this book for my MPhil qualification... It tells you a lot of common sense stuff that I'm sure is a waste of page space for most of us. In balance the book does tend to cover all the issues quite well, but I just get the feeling it's like picking up a free leaflet at the library; read-it quickly and then throw it away.
