Context and Narrative
The author is a leader in Hittite Studies and uses his grasp of ancient history to put Troy in context.Scholars dont know a lot about the Trojans per se and Bryce shares his learning in the context of Troy's neighbours and what scholars do know about them. Dont expect a great narrative epic therefore, simply enjoy the scholarship ride.
