Customer Reviews

A good solid overview of science teaching today4
So many books about teaching have little relevance or use. But this one is fab! It gives lots of suggestions and ideas about areas such as investigations and uses of ICT whilst discussing the merits and pitfalls of these and other areas in teaching. Clear easy to read with a few pictures to add interest-a good buy

Not good1
I bought this book as it was required reading. What a mistake! You need a degree in psychology and English to make sense of it. The author takes half a page to convey something that can be understood by the 'normal' reader in four lines. It over complicates common sense. Don't buy it.

Useful for the PGCE essays3
This book is useful for writing those long PGCE essays, but other than that I found it quite dull. I didn't learn much from it that I could actually apply in the classroom.
