Synopsis
A Guide to European Union Law is a comprehensive overview of the European Union's institutions, their functions and the substantive law. Available in one easy volume it will give the reader the perfect first-stop introduction to EU Law. It is easily accessible to both the student and inexperienced professional, by being uncluttered with technical jargon. Each chapter contains a selected reading list of recent publications, enabling the reader to extend their knowledge if required. This 7th edition has been exhaustively rewritten and updated to reflect developments such as the implementation of the Maastricht Treaty, the Stability Pact, the impending introduction of European Monetary Union, the proposed enlargement of the Union and the Luxembourg Meeting on Employment.

Customer Reviews

Full of mistakes and not updated2
This book can not really be recommended. It is not thoroughly updated and full of mistakes as far as the references to provisions in the treaties, quotations etc. It seems to have been written or updated in a hurry and with no attention to detail. It is a shame because the book fulfils the valid aim of giving a compact overview of EU law in less than 500 pages.
