Absolutely Essential Seminar Preparation...5
For less than the cost of two packets of cigarettes, you cannot possibly pass up the opportunity to purchase this text. Without this book I would not have received a First for the Criminal Law module of the LLB. The book is no substitute for comprehensive study and revision, yet if your lecture notes prove incomprehensible when revising or preparing seminars then you will find all the information you need contained herein. Where most textbooks explain legal principle over several pages, this book does it in a few paragraphs (hence the need for prior study). Alternatively, use the book as an introduction to a particular area of Criminal Law; when reading in further detail you will find it much easier to wade through the texts. Your memory need never fail you again, buy this book and you WILL shine brighter than all your classmates in seminars.

brilliant for just before tutorials!!5
Ha ha! Well, what can i say about Nutshells?! Well, in the past, this book has been a life saver! It was ideal just before tutorials, as it had all the info, but without all the unnecessary blurb! I also found it very good for when i didn't understand the topic - it gives you an easy to read and understand reference point, which can then be developed further using other materials. Great for revision purposes also as this book has a question and answer section at the back. I really couldn't have done my degree without this series! The Nutshells on Criminal Law was the first one I bought, and after that, i was hooked! It is not to be used as the ultimate textbook - far from it infact - it is a simple book for the lazy or the struggling!

Law student's review4
Good to browse through as a preliminary revision aid however is not detailed enough to be solely relied upon. Is a concise guide for formulating essays but, depending on your lecturer, does not cover all 'major' cases. Some cases are too brief in description to display clear distinctions between other related cases (which are not present within the book), which is essential to a student's analysis. Thus we can conclude, it is only a revision guide in a nutshell!
