Synopsis
Criminal Law, part of Sweet & Maxwell's Textbook Series, provides the reader with a clear, logical and progressive approach to the subject. Specifically designed for undergraduate LL.B. and CPE students, this major new edition on criminal law focuses on those subjects common to the majority of law courses. The result is a comprehensive survey and analysis of the key areas of criminal liability.
Customer Reviews
A good in depth text that is accessible and inviting.
An intimidating book in size, it is not in nature. It's popularity with my criminal law students is supported by myself. They, as well as I, found it light in tone but more than sufficient in depth. It is easily 'dipped' into to solve problems and the large print aids those late night attempts to meet assignment deadlines. A very good alternative text to the more traditional 'book ends' that intimidate and you will not want to open.
Great Book, Great Lecturer
Having recently started the study of Criminal Law, I will admit I was more than worried about the varsity of the subject. However having met my lecturer, a certain Mr Alan Reed, and having purchased and read the first two chapters of his book I found my fears completely relieved. The book covers every subject in a logical and easy to understand manner, and is far easier to read the majority of Law books due to the fact that it is written in standard english and not legal english.
Highly Recommended!
Having had the pleasure of being taught by Alan Reed, co-author, I must say this book is first class. I found it easy to use, and straight forward. Perfect for those taking Criminal Law as a first or second year LL.B module. I used this throughout my Criminal Law module and managed to gain a high 2:1 result.
