Customer Reviews

An thorough, informative book, although a little tedious.4
This book certainly does not overlook any detail relating to contruction law. It reads a lot like a history book, taking the reader through the landmark cases, laws and decisions that have affected construction law. My only critisism would be, that there is too much detail. There is a huge bulk of text which could have been left out, as I felt the analysis and the effects of certain laws was much more important than the description of how and why they came to be passed. John Uff tends to give too much historical information on this, rather than solely focusing on the issues of construction law today. I found that 'CDM Regulations Explained', by R Joyce, had a lot more practical knowledge to offer me, as it was more precise and focussed solely on 'effects', even though it was much more limited in what it covered. So, if your interested in learning more about Construction law, this book is definatley for you, but if your after specific information, or advice on Construction Law, try another book.
