EVERYONE should own this book!
I bought this book after stumbling across the website. I would whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone!
Lesley and Honore, at first glance may appear to be middle-aged, somewhat bitter, and utterly 'out of touch' but I beg you to give them a chance. They are young women - both in their mid-twenties, and they have a lot of common sense advice about ettiquette, amongst other things!
This book is written in a very eccentric, almost schizophrenic way, with moments of elegant serenity and sudden changes to anger and 'see you in hell' moments. Lesley and Honore write with razor sharp, ascerbic wit. The situations described in this book are often rather close to home.
Whilst presented as a reference book, and valid in that role, I read this book in one sitting, because it made me laugh. The random smatterings of French phrases and Unusual Capitalisation may be silly, but boy do these two hammer their point home.
Like many 'lifestyle guide' books, don't try and follow them to the letter (Doc Martens + Cashmere Twinsets = cool???!!! Erm, don't think so!) Try to take something useful from this book, but otherwise read it as I did, for entertainment. You won't be disappointed!

Quite Dissapointed
Personally, I think this book is in the wrong timeframe, I think it belongs to the 1940's-1950's. I mean, some people don't really write letters, there is such a thing called e-mail. But, on the other hand, it is quite useful, as in how to behave at a wedding or a funeral...
