Average customer review:Product Description
Students know just what they need to revise for each exam because each guide matches the specification exactly. Information is presented in a straightforward, user-friendly way. Content is organised into double-page spreads to make revision more manageable. Short questions at the end of each section really make students stop and think about the topic. It includes tips on common pitfalls and advice on how to tackle different types of exam questions and exam preparation. Practice exam-style questions are included at the end of each module. The answers to all questions are in the back of the books, so students can work on their own.

Very useful
I got this about three weeks before my physics "Forces Fields and Energy" module exam. It's amazingly useful.
The module is divided into sections, and each section into mini-topics that take up a double-page each. Each double-page consists of equations and facts you need to learn, with minimum explanation (after all, you're supposed to have learnt your way through the module, and this is only for revision), so I found it very easy to pick out essential things that I didn't yet know. At the end of each double-page, there is a small box of questions (with answers at the back) to make sure you know everything.
At the end of the book, there are a couple of pages of questions that mix together everything covered in the book.
My only criticism is the mark scheme - I've marked some mock A-level question papers before, and the exam mark scheme differs in style to that given in the book. However, it shouldn't prove a problem, as long as you don't take the mark scheme too seriously, and only check for knowledge.
Much better than the textbook!
This is a great revision aid. I found that the OCR textbook we had (also written by David Sang) was often vague and didn't get straight to the points on the syllabus. This, on the other hand, was great and I knew exactly what I needed to learn on each section just by having a quick glance over the pages.
A must have book for all A-level Physics students!
Although quite a thin book, the information with which it contains is great! There is no worthless material and has questions to aid the revision process. Maybe using it throughout the school year would be of benefit, to help refresh yourself after lessons.
Overall a well written book, it is certainly helping me understand the A2 course. As I am also studying Biology and Chemistry, the other Revision guides in the series are both excellent! Ben Weaver.
