The GCSE Music: Student Book is exceptional, it focuses on the key parts of your specific specification, whether it is OCR, Edexcel or AQA. This guide highlights and consilidates important points of several genres and types, styles and influences of music. Without a doubt, this guide has proved very useful to me, in particular with my coursework. For the oCR specification coursework is worth 60%, a good mark in this is vital to achieve an A*. By using the advice for composing, apprasing and preforming, I managed to get a very high mark in my coursework. In regard to the listening part of the book, it needs to focus on a broader range of styles, but nevertheless it is very effective and the layout is similar to the exams. In my opinion, this GCSE Student book is a student's bible to success.
