More Ideas than you can come up with yourself
This book is a godsend for overworked teachers. It provides ideas for a wide range of activities which can be used to cover the QCA document learning objectives for year 4. The ideas are straight forward - suggest the use of realisitic and not specialist equipment - and even throw in some worksheets and assessment sheets for good measure. There are more suggestions for activities than you actually need so you can choose those which best suit your class.
Yes! Brilliant life saver!
If you cannot plan science lessons, then this will save your life. This book provides medium and short-term lesson plans which are in line with the NC and DfES SChemes of Work for Science. Assessment opportunities are also provided and refers to a constructive method of teaching science in the classroom. Well worth every penny!
Good, but not as good as the others
Having used the other books in this series i was a little disappointed with this one. The activities suggested are fine but sometimes the flow of the lessons occasionally seem a little disjointed. Also in terms of the English curriculum this particualar book doesn't seem to fit in as well with some of the topics being overly long. Saying this there are still some excellent lesson ideas to go from!
