A useful, well designed obstetric introduction
As a midwifery student, this was one of the first books which I purchased. I have found it extremely useful for my needs and find the layout of the book aids understanding in this huge topic area. Verralls provides here a general A&P text which will appeal to a lot of people, from midwives to students, with it's handy size useful for reading on the go!

Essential reading
This has probably been the book I have got the most use of (apart from Myles!) in my first year as a student midwife. It contains information on the breasts, pelvis, fetal skull, bladder, pelvic floor etc etc, and is in an easy to understand format.

It is really useful as it's a convenient size to fit in your bag and can be taken on placement for when you've got a free minute.
