Essential for obs and gynae!
This is the Obs and Gynae textbook to get! It is divided into three sections: a concise description of the basic science, then separate sections on obstetrics and gynaecology. The level of detail is spot on. The pages are colourful and friendly with clinical scenarios, essential points pictures and tables throughout. The text is broken up by lots of headings for ease of reading and each chapter ends with a brief summary of the essential points - perfect for revision. Information is easy to find via the index and all the main subjects are covered. Marvelous.
disspointing
I agree with the other reviewer. After parting with £35 i was gutted to find this is lacking in detail, in parts wrong (claims that babies should not actually be born under water in water births for risk of damaging the lungs - not so in clinical practise) and seems to be full of some irrelevant pieces of opinion by the authors. not the book to read when time's precious and you want most of your info for obs and gynae from one book. dissapointing, don't think you'd pass using it. am now having to buy another to replace it.
very poor
this book has very little information, it is often repetitive, it doesnt have a logical order to it, the writing is poor. I dont recommend it
