Brilliant illustrations, text simple.
Obstetrics is a subject which most of us in my class (undergrad. medicine) found very hard to visualise and memorise. This book is so well illustrated, that i finally understood the subject and amanaged to remember it. The text is laid out around the pictures, and each page looks short and easy to read so it isnt scary when you look at it, and in fact is encouraging. The text is simple, and informative, and covers just enough ground leaving out unnecessary detail. Its also good for last minute revision since you can flip through the pages and look at the illustrations, and everything seems to come back. So i found this book very helpful to pass my obstetrics test, and i will definately be using it again in my final exam.

ONE OF THE FIVE BEST BOOKS OF MY MEDICAL STUDIES!
A fantastic achievement.This was the final subject of my entire medical studies,and,instead of being fed up by months of studying and hardly going anywhere but the hospital and my flat, I was very pleasantly gripped by this text,which is beautifully illustrated and wonderfully written in clear,simple English.The basic knowledge on any topic is easily understood,and more to the point,quickly grasped by any reader.This and its accompanying text on Gynaecology are among the best books I have had the privelege of reading during the course of my studies.As a student, the last thing you want is dross and further dross thrust under your nose as you sit down to those final few months.If only more medical textbooks were like this.
