Review from a recent OSCE victim5
Having experienced the OSCE last year I was intrigued to see just how useful this book might be. The stations covered are all relevant to the exam (and clinical practice). They are closely similar to the real thing in terms of their layout and some are almost identical to real stations for the exam. The scope of the book includes all the topics most likely to come up. Overall it is an outstanding book and I would consider it essential reading for anyone sitting the MRCPsych part 1. It is probably the single most useful tool in enhancing chances of passing the clinical part of the exam and therefore represents excellent value for money.

EXCELLENT OSCE TRAINER ESSENTIAL FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS5
This OSCE training manual should become an integral part of the library of every trainers and students of psychiatry. This book covers all the possible areas that can come for the objective structured clinical exam for MRCPsych exam. Going for the OSCE exam with out training using this book will be an unwise decision as people who use this book are going to have a great advantage. This book is very useful for beginers in psychiatry. Please dont wait until you reach OSCE to buy this book as it will help communicating with your patients more efficiently.
As a new SHO who has recently started the rotation there will be situations when we will be wondering how to ask various questions, explain treatments to patients and advice on the management in a language they can understand. This book has covered most of the usual scenarios that any Psychiatrist will come across day to day.I have enjoyed this wonderful book as it has changed my practice and outlook towards OSCE exams.
This book will be very much useful for all the Specialist registrars and consultants who will be advicing and training their senior house officers on OSCE and communication skills.

Sound revision guide for Part I MRCPsych candidates5
I was excited to hear of this book which provides well needed practical guidance for the Part I OSCE. It seems a number of clinicians and examiners were approached for this book. Resultantly Albert Michael provides a good number of practical OSCE cases for review. Each case offers sound guidance for the reader on how to interview, or examine, simulated patients during the exam in a structured and sensible way. An essential read for any canditate approaching the Part I exam.
