A fantastic resource!!
This textbook covers a wide variety of topics and includes all ages of children and young people. It would be a valuable resource throughout the child branch, covering a wide amount of information without being overwhelming.
Each section includes activities and suggests discussion topics, the reader is also directed to further resources and online learning activities, accessed through evolve. Case studies and scenarios help to relate the information to practice and there are useful activities to encourage the development of reflection. The layout of the book makes it easy to read, with useful diagrams and pictures throughout.
I think this book is a fantastic resource for a nursing student in the child branch. It gives the right amount of information and is clear and accessible.

This book is ACE !! It cover's every aspect of children's nursing and would be an excellent resource for any child branch student nurse or even qualified nurse ! This book has helped me alot and even though it is a bit costly its worth spending the birthday or christmas money your nan gave you on it. You'll find anything you ever wanted to know in this book.
Required reading reference.
My daughter is studying for a degree in Child Nursing - this textbook was bought for her as it is her University's recommended book on this subject. She says it is extremely thorough and is for her a key reference benchmark.
