Customer Reviews

Well I've passed all my surgery exams using it5
I bought this book whilst doing my junior surgery attachment (1995), as a medical student in Liverpool. I found this book so easy to read, I managed to read it cover-to-cover in two days (without getting bored). Now i'm on a surgical rotation in London about to take MRCS paper II and I still rely on it.

Great for clinical students4
This is a highly popular student text of surgical medicine. Along with the essential grisly photos there is also very well written text including the principles behind diseases and interventions. It gives a wide perspective on each disease beginning with the pathology and epidemiology before zooming in on presentation, investigations and treatment. The main points are highlighted and therefore you absorb useful information as you read it. The anatomy sections are suitably detailed but thankfully concise.
It is orientated towards clinical students and it makes a very good companion to an anatomy textbook for highlighting the most clinically relevant points.
