Product Description

Born to legendary singer Nat "King" Cole in the halcyon days of the 1950's, Natalie Cole grew up to become a versatile and soulful singer whose talents catapulted her all the way to Grammy Award-winning status. But that success came with a price. Dragged down by drugs, depression and divorce - and enduring everything from bankruptcy proceedings to surviving the ordeals of rehab - Natalie realised she had spun out of control and was in grave danger of losing custody of her son. What follows is the inspirational and riveting story of her tremendous musical comeback, from wrenching heartbreak to crowning glory, culminating in the international success of Unforgettable with Love, a tribute to her dad.

Customer Reviews

Absolutely breath taking!!!!!5
This book MUST be one of the best that I have ever read!! To think that someone who came from what people might say as being a VERY wealthy, cultured and happy family - could have put themselves through the emotional pain and turmoil, that Natalie did is something that SHOULD only happen in nightmares!! I am so glad that her life is now back on track, and I hope that "The Angel on Her Shoulder" will always be there to share in all the happy times to come. I think that she has suffered enough in her life!!!

Excellent book.

Don't miss this book5
What can I say. This book is one of those that you can't put down. Very frank and honest account from the daughter of one of the greatest singing legends. Natalie, (I call her by her Christian name because having read this book, I feel I know her well, which I find important when reading someones autobiography) has had some difficult times and gone from riches to rags, and back to riches, with some life altering experiences along the way. The 'Unforgettable with love' album is also amazing. I'm off to buy 'Ask a woman who knows' concert. READ THIS BOOK!
