When the full moon shines, a paralysing fear descends on the isolated Maine town of Tarker Mills. No one knows who will be attacked next, but snarls that sound like human words can be heard and all around are the footprints of a monster whose hunger cannot be sated.

Editorial Reviews
Review
'The true narrative artist is a rare creature. Storytelling - the ability to make the listener or the reader need to know, demand to know, what happens next - is a gift...Stephen King, like Charles Dickens before him, has this gift in spades.' (The Times on CELL 20080120)
'Thrilling, genuinely terrifying, beautifully textured and full of wonderful invention' (Daily Mail on LISEY'S STORY )
'He has become a fascinating paradoxical figure, still seen as ultra-commercial but, in fact, increasingly highbrow and self-conscious' (Sunday Times on DUMA KEY )
Praise for Stephen King (: )

Customer Reviews
Just plain odd
This book is not at all what you expect from a novel. It is very short (could be read in a couple of hours or less), and the story is very simple. It feels like a children's book, albeit a very gory one. For all that, however, it is a strangely satisfying little book, with nice illustrations, and a King fan would enjoy owning it.
King collectors delight
I'm a huge Stephen King fan, I have everything and this just completes the collection. It's not the best story he has ever written but it is good and so nicely presented. I can't imagine anybody but an avid Stephen King collector really apreciating this so I wouldn't recomend you buy it for a friend who has just read a few king books, but if you know someone who thinks they have everything he has written, there is a pretty good chance they don't have this. Incidently there is a filmed based on this book too.
An unusually bad book from the master of storytelling.
I read this book within the hour, so disappointing in many ways. The story telling was brief and not overly enthralling. If you have seen the film "The silver bullet" dont bother with the book, unless you want to collect everything ever written by Stephen King. The two story lines are identical but the film is much more thrilling. This is the first Stephen King Book that has disappointed me.
