solid review of mapping techniques
As an undergraduate doing my mapping dissertation I have found this book invaluable as an introductory text. It spans a broad range of relavant topics, and includes a useful practical guide to field equipment and techniques. Although it is a little brief in some sections I would certainly recommend it to other high flying academics

It's Basic
I it's a good book for beginners, it would be a good buy for anyone starting a degree in Geology or even Physical Geography.
