An Invitation from the Author:

You′re invited on a learning journey devoted to physical geography—the science of life environments from local to global scale. Your learning experience will take you from the top layers of the Earth′s atmosphere to the rocks underlying the ocean basins to the forests of the farthest continents. It will focus primarily on the land surface, helping you understand and explain many common natural phenomena that you experience every day—ranging from the formation of thunderstorms to the building of sand dunes on a beach. When your journey is complete, you will come away with both a new appreciation of the landscape around you and a better understanding of the global environment problems faced by the human race as its population expands into the twenty–first century.

Excellent! a bible for 1st year Geography undergraduates.5
Physical Geography is an exceptionally readable text, suitable for all 1st year Geography undergraduate students. The book covers all areas of degree level physical geography and is written in a 'non-jargon' reader friendy style....
I would fully recommend the book to Univesity students in their 1st, 2nd and 3rd years.
