Customer Reviews
Answered all my questions about diabetes. Very informative.
I found out I had diabetes. This book answered all my questions and helped me understand my condition. Contains all medical information I needed as well as how to plan a diabetic meal plan. Includes sample menu plans as well as 98 various recipes. Suitable and essential reading for anyone with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. From how to prevent it to how to treat it. Information also about all medications available and how they can help or possible side effects. Contains a new, easy to understand and follow, dietary approach to diabetes. Helped me to undertstand what to eat and when. Recommend this book to anyone with diatetes, anyone who cares for someone with diabetes and also to any parent who has a child with diabetes.
Very Bland
As my husband has diabtes 2 I thought this book maybe a good buy. Not sure it was, I found the diabetes information useful (but that is available free from the Diabetes Society!) Just not as informative as the title suggests. The healthy eating section is very bland. The recipes are just so boring! I enjoy cooking and don't feel that healty recipes have to be so bland. I bought Anthony Worral Thompsons diabetes recipe book awhile ago and would recommend that, if its good diabetes freindly recipes your'e after.
