Simulation models are increasingly used to investigate processes and solve practical problems in a wide variety of disciplines. Central to the concept of this book is the idea that environmental systems are complex, open systems. An excellent read for modellers
An excellent read for those working in the area of environmental modelling and also for those who are interested in the theoretical framework of modelling in general. As one would expect, not all 22 Chapters of the book are of the same quality and of interest to everyone, however there are some thought-provoking chapters written by leading experts in their fields.
Overall, I enjoyed the book very much and I believe it is one of the top modelling books.
