About the Author
Karen Keller is a journalist who lived and worked in São Paulo, Brazil, for three years. Before moving to Brazil, the California native taught Spanish at a New York City–based foreign language education Web site. Keller is also a published travel guide writer. She currently lives in New Jersey, where she is a local newspaper reporter.

Great for Beginners and some Intermediate

Hmm.. this book is great because, it focuses on Brazilian portuguese which is slightly different from the one spoken in Portugal. It is also great because it gives you the pronunciation way of an English speaker.

for that price its great because it gives you a stepping stone to improve on Portuguese

humourous and interesting book
i really enjoy using this book. It doesnt get boring, and it includes alot of funny explanations for things. I seriously recommend it.
Its not the right book for you, if you want to learn perfect grammar and if you want to understand verb conjegations in depth.
For fun and entertaining learning; including slang etc then its great
