Where's the descriptions?
Buying this book I was rather hoping that I was going to get a book of Polynesian designs with a brief description of what they were called & what they meant.
Nah.
What you have is a book of sketches with a footnote telling you where they were found. So you see a symbol that you like & read that it's the design found on a bowl in the Solomon Islands.
Now if you want to use the designs you can (the only reason it's not 1*). They're permission free, but frankly who would want to decorate anything with what could be a Samoan death mask?!?
I'd like to say that it's ok for the price, but frankly for 47 pages even that's not the case.
