A wonderful book - even the adults will be entranced5
This book contains a selection of the finest photographs taken by state of the art telescopes from around the world. There is rarely a page that fails to amaze, with this carefully selected range of colourful and beautiful celestial objects. An excellent conversation piece for dinner, as even the most serious of colleagues and friends will be astounded by what is "up there". On the left page of each double, there is an interesting explanation of the phenomenon observed in the picture on the right. You can come back time and time again to this book. Children are also routinely entranced by the strange patterns apparent in our sky. The book itself is of the finest quality, with a stunning photo on the front cover that catches the eye.

An excellent buy.

A celestial feast for the eyes4
This is a fascinating book to dip into. It is laid out as a daily calendar with a different picture and accompanying notes for each day of the year. The pictures range from views of the earth's surface or of astronauts and equipment on the moon to the most stunning visions of subjects such as the once-molten surface of Venus, the perfect spiral galaxy, and some awesome nebulae.

It is just jaw-droppingly wonderful to actually see some of the incredible sights that are out there in space, so beautiful, colourful and varied. Makes you look up into the sky above your home with a whole different perspective on just how much is out there.

Fascinating for kids and adults alike, this is an inspiring book both to own and to give away. Buy it!
