From 'The Adventure of the Gloria Scott' to 'His Last Bow' we follow the illustrious career of this quintessential British hero from his university days to his final case. Superb5
I enjoyed this book, greatly. Why? Because Conan Doyle manages not to make the culprit painfully obvious, which I have found in many crime thrillers. I started reading Sherlock Holmes at the age of 11, and I still never grow tired of them. My particular favorite being the great Hound of the Baskervilles, of which I still find extremely exhilarating. A well worth buy.

Absolutely Fantastic!5
This hardcover volume contains the complete works of Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. It contains "A Study in Scarlet", "The Sign of Four", "The adventures of Sherlock Holmes", "Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes", "The Return of Sherlock Holmes", the acclaimed classic, "The Hound of the Baskervilles", "The Valley of Fear", "His Last Bow", and "The Case Book of Sherlock Holmes". It really is the complete complete works. It tells of Watson's first meeting with Sherlock Holmes and all the small case they solve (or rather Holmes solves, Watson goes "ahhhh")

The whole book is attractively bound and would make an excellent gift. The hard back cover and dust jacket make it look like it's worth alot more than Amazon charge!

I would recommend this book to anyone, and I mean anyone. Most people who haven't read Sherlock Holmes turn their nose up at it. I was the same. Then I read it! After all, it's elementary, dear reader!!!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist!

Real quality at a very reasonable price5
"The Complete Sherlock Holmes" is a splendid big volume containing the whole Canon, with a good selection of the Strand Magazine illustrations and a foreword by David Stuart Davies. It's a lovely production: full-cloth binding, all gilt edges, head and tail bands, ribbon marker, and section-sewn. My only adverse criticisms are that no artists but Sidney Paget are credited, though at least six illustrated the stories after his death in 1908 (and one of Josef Friedrich's pictures has replaced Paget's in "A Scandal in Bohemia"), and that some illustrations are a mite grey and fuzzy. Over all, this is a beautiful book, a pleasure to handle and a pleasure to read.
