Customer Reviews

So you've resorted to this, a revison guide...4
If you're buying this book, or even thinking of buying it, you've either got to the stage where you've thought "Oh dear, I'd better start doing some revision as my exams are next week" or you're at the other end of the spectrum, thinking ahead and doing some wider reading, in which case well done!
But to the book; as you'd expect from anything coming out of Cambridge, it's full of useful, intelligent observations on the play and will help in your understanding of Mr Shakespeare's often confusing language and imagery. Furthermore, if you really want to understand the play, you can delve into the history surrounding the play, which will undoubtedly improve any essays you will inevitably have to write.
To conclude, this is an excellent book which with its brilliant scene-by-scene, character-by-character analysis could teach anyone about the play. So why only four stars? Well, the cover illustration isn't the most imaginative, and it is about Shakespeare, after all...

Much better than York Notes for A-Level English Lit.5
Really great on most aspects of the course. If you are having difficulty with the Shakespeare aspect of the course I really do reccomend this book to you, it will help you. This book although does not give you everything you need for this aspect of the course, but I have still given it 5 stars because this is A-Level, we cannot be handed things on a silver platter!
