Helped me get an A grade!
You cant get a better revision book than this for Statistics 1. It has detailed explanations on each Statistics topics, with further challenging questions and detailed explanations if you want. There are all the practise questions you will ever need that build up in difficulty, plus several revision sessions and practise exam papers at the back.
Detailed but not complete
This book has many great points, it is the main book for the OCR S1 course. The book however has many errors too, many of the questions give incorrect answers, many of the diagrams are incomplete or incorrect and the book has a generally rushed feel. eg: chapter three page 51, the three box plot diagrams are the same although they should differ. The beginning of chapter 3 also has a few type errors such as missed spacing
Good revision
I am prepearing for my exams and I find this book very good for revision as it covers the basic statistics (together with Statistics 2), it has very clear explanations and examples. Moreover, they have included mock examinantion paper. I sugest this book and the second part for everyone who is taking the statistics exams.
