Customer Reviews

A good book for a tough subject4
This is a text book endorsed by OCR and comprises of huge amounts of questions (with answers at the back of the book) and some good and some awkward explanations.

The whole Mechanics 2 (M2 as its shortened to) module doesn't have any good revision guides for it at present (2005). So I was basically forced into buying this. Maybe forced is too strong a word to use since this book stopped me from failing the subject.

The book explains things in a complicated manner sometimes and yet in others almost insults your intelligance. Still the diagrams and questions are very good and really, really will help you come exam time. Questions from past OCR papers are used and these help ensure you are on the right tracks.

Unfortunately M2 is very dependant on a good understanding of M1. So I would also recommend buying a CGP Mechanics 1 revision guide just to ensure you don't forget the basics.

An excellent book for mathematics a-level5
An excellent text for mathematics a-level, or depending on your choice of modules, further mathematics a-level. It explains each segment of the syllabus accurately and clearly by using both numerical and algebraic examples. It gives you some good strategies for solving problems, however these are not the easiest or the best for some questions.
