Product Description

An understanding of basic sciences is the cornerstone of medical and surgical training, and viva examinations in particular remain a source of anxiety for many candidates. Applied Surgery Physiology Vivas follows the same format as the hugely popular General Pathology Vivas and Surgical Critical Care Vivas. It gives candidates a means of practising some of the most common questions that they will be asked in their viva examinations, with detailed model answers and diagrams to highlight key points where necessary. Pocket-sized for portability, and packed with useful information in an easy-to-use A-Z format, this book will help the reader to broaden their knowledge base and, by practising the vivas, gain confidence in their examination technique.

A surgical bible worth it's weight in gold5
Your stressed. The MRCS is taking over your life. You would sell a kidney to pass. Instead by this gem of a book that covers the trickiest part of the viva - the physiology section. Physiology isn't that difficult - it's just the huge scope of the content which is difficult to fit into your revision schedule. This book is a god send. It is small and concise with the information in question and sub-question format. The explanations are given in a complete and simple format which I found easy to learn from. I'm sure this review isn't going to be much use to you as you will have already been recommended it by your peers. Well worth the money.

tiny book, but don't be fooled4
This is a very small, concise, bullet-pointed book. Howevever, it definitely contains all the information you will ever need to pass the MRCS physiology component. If anything, there are certain parts which are a little bit too small-print and perhaps not relevant for the MRCS. Common topics are common and all that.
