Product Description

This book covers clinical examination in orthopaedics at an advanced level, bringing together important techniques and concepts that can normally only be found in large, specialist surgical texts. It adopts a systemic approach, taking each region in turn, and uses bullet points, key information tables, algorithms, summary boxes and clear photographs or line drawings to present information in an easy-to-read way and to and highlight important hints and common pitfalls.

It has finally arrived4
Harris et al managed to compile all the necessary information you need for examining the orthopaedic patient into a compelling book. The book is divided into examination of the hip, knee, spine, foot, etc and features a good description of most of the tests available for the specific region. It also relates the examination technique to common complaints and diseases. The book is well illustrated (see for yourself...) and I can recommend it to any Orthopaedic trainee.

Great book. Brings together all the special tests while remaining relavent and concise. Stands on it's own without the nice pictures but they definately add to the appeal!

Should be a standard text5
This book is one I would recommend to any doctor looking for a book on orthpaedic examination. While not the most complete text of examination, it includes all the necessary tests and omits the useless and irrelevant. It is short and readable enough to be used as an undergraduate text; and as a postgraduate text it includes all the tests that clinicians at any level or specialty are likely to use in day to day practice or will need to get through any postgraduate examination. The descriptions of the tests are concise, unambiguous and accurate. In my view, this is the best text covering the area of orthopaedic examanation.
