Best of the Weather Guidebooks
Many books on this subject waffle and substitute the naming of cloud-types for actually explaining meteorology, but not this one. Densely packed with information, this book is essentially a primer course in meteorology. Not that the language used is too technical for the lay reader, for it is not.
Combining discussion of weather systems, forecasting methods and world-wide typical weather statistics, this deserves to be the first-stop reference for anyone interested in meteorology.
