About the Author
John Graham began creating crosswords at the age of nine, and his first published crossword puzzle appeared in the Manchester Guardian in 1958. He has set for The Guardian ever since, taking the pseudonym Araucaria, meaning 'monkey puzzle tree'. He also compiles crosswords for the Financial Times as Cinephile, and founded the crossword magazine 1 Across in 1984. A retired clergyman, he lives in Cambridgeshire. Araucaria (John Graham) gets more and more inspired and outrageous. This collection takes cryptic crosswords where they have never been before, breaking all the rules and setting new standards. All with wonderful wit and humour. Highly recommended for all the family!
