Accessible and widely applicable for all users.
I've had my well-thumbed Chambers Dictionary of Science and Technology throughout my A-levels, Biochemistry degree and PhD and on into post-graduate research. This book comes highly recommended as it contains a wide-range of scientific words and definitions that will suit all needs from the indepth researcher to the hypochondriac surfing NHS Direct. I have not yet been disappointed in my search for the explanation of a word be it ecological, pharmacological, gene cloning jargon, some obscure medical term, or even something spouted by a plumber trying to confuse me!
