Customer Reviews
If you liked the other Acorna books, you must read this!
I first read Acorna a while ago and swiftly follwed up with the next two. The whole series is written so that you are interested in the main character and what actually happens to her and the other characters skillfully weaved into the storyline.
The latest in the series, Acorna's World takes up where Acorna's people left off, with Acorna (the heroine) flying off on a junk ship with a human friend and a Linyaari male she has taken a fancy to. I was really excited when i got this book, simply because i wanted to know what happens next. This book does deliver too. Without giving the story away, Acorna is the heroine she always is, getting into numerous scrapes in the name of rescuing the people she loves and a few planets (in fact, also enlarging 'the federation' and wiping out an enemy, namely the Khleevi).
The inbuilt 'romance' that appears in many of Anne's books is also present in Acorna's world, and the book is as good as the first three. If you enjoyed them, it is well worth reading just to know what happens to Acorna; and the previous books always leave you wanting that little bit more too.
magical and enchanting
Acorna's World is a spectacular book written in Anne McCaffrey's marvolous words, unfolding a story that becomes real to even the most unimaginative of minds through its characters, detail and wit. its a one to buy!!!
Dull
If you like Anne McCaffrey books you'll probably buy this anyway, but its definitely not one of her best. The storyline is thin, and a lot of the book is taken up with reviewing the plots of the previous 3 books in the Acorna series.
