From the Back Cover
The X-wing fighter pilots have earned their reputation as the Rebel Alliance's ultimate strike force by overwhelming enemies with their rapid-fire assaults. But now they are about to embark on a diplomatic mission that will prove to be even more hazardous than all-out combat...

X-WING STARFIGHTERS OF ADUMAR

The neutral world of Adumar has decided to pick a side in the war to control the galaxy. Delegates from both the New Republic and the Empire have been invited to Adumar, and each camp will be given a chance to plead its government's case. But there is one small catch: since the Adumari prize military skill above all else, they insist that both delegations be composed exclusively of fighter pilots. For pilot Wedge Antilles and his compnay, it's an unfamiliar exercise in diplomacy - and one that's filled with unexpected peril. For once they arrive, the X-wing pilots are challenged by Adumar's fierce warriors and attacked by Imperial assassins bent on eliminating all competition. But these challenges pale in comparison to the threat posed by a rogue Republic agent...one who is determined to win Adumar's allegiance once and for all - even if it costs the X-wing pilots their lives.

A good end to the x-wing series4
This book provides a good end to series as all the characters we've gotten to know from Rouge squadron are not in it and a lot have had promotions. Wedge, Hobbie, Tycho and world class funny man Wes Janson are sent to the world Adumar who have decided to chose a side in the war.

Their counter parts the 181st Tie squadron and Wedge's team have been sent to plead their cases before the world leader and hear who they are going to join. It all erupts in a civil war and Wedge leads the weaker alliance of continents against the more highly equipt continent who are lead by the 181st.

This book is pretty good and the freaky inhabitants of his planet make it an intresting read. Although it is a good read the plot can be a bit dodgey, but if you have read the series it will make an interesting read as I differs from the rest. That's why i've given it 4 stars.

Sithspit, this is fantastic!5
This has to be the best of Allston's X-Wing books. Sure, basically there are only 4 pilots involved - but three of them are the veterans we have all come to know and love, and the fourth is well, famous enough. Not so much of locations like the other books (heck, all the action takes place on ONE planet), but what Allston lacks in places, he makes up in dialogue - all my friends (and I!) who read it had side-splitting hysterics, especially where Wes Janson was concerned. Also, there's quite a lot of character development in this book - you see sides of those four pilots (ESPECIALLY Hobbie) that you've never seen before. And one more great thing about the book - Wedge dumps Qui! Never could understand what he saw in that blue-skinned Imperial scientist, anyway. If you haven't read it, I would strongly suggest that you do - get addicted and join the X-Wing mania!

EXCELENT - A MUST READ FOR FANS OF THE X-WING SERIES5
This is for me the best book so far published in the X-Wing series. It is very funny and the interaction between the four pilots (Wedge, Tycho, Hobbie and Janson) is absolutely brilliant. The action is a bit lacking, especally after the preceeding books, but this is more than compensated by the humour and characterisations. The more this series of books goes on, the more I would like to see them made into a TV series. EXCELLENT READ - MORE PLEASE.
