Amazon.co.uk Review
There are not many good books about sit-coms that can boast an introduction by so grand a figure as Sir Anthony Hopkins, but Only Fools and Horses has always been a bit special. The wheeling-dealing Trotter family with their yellow three-wheeler, their "lovely-jubbly", and their rollercoaster emotional and commercial exploits became national treasures. "At its worst it is excellent, at its best brilliant", writes Ronnie Barker of the show, which explains why more than 24 million people watched the final episode when Rodney and Del Boy eventually did become millionaires.
Steve Clark's book gives an insight into the people who made it all possible; its writer and curator John Sullivan and the marvellous acting talents of David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst. It provides a guide to every episode and a few glimpses at some of the real-life inspirations for the characters, but mostly this book conjures the warm atmosphere of a terrific show that now only exists in repeats. No more revolting cocktails, no more bad French, no more "you plonker". But don't be too sad, this book gives all the words to "Hookey Street", so all together now, "We've got some half-priced cracked ice..."- -Nick Wroe

It brings back so many memories
I am a big fan of Only Fools and Horses so some may think that my opinions of this book would be good regardless.
However i must say that this book is truely excellent, All the major characters are featured with how they got the parts, what they had previouly done and their best moments.
There is also a review from every episode over how it was made and some problems that occured along the way meaning that OFAH was alomst stopped in 1983
Right through the book there are additional facts and scripts from scenes cut out of some episodes.
This book is informative, colourful and easy to read. I enjoyed every second i was reading it and i would stronlgy recommend it to anyone who liked watching the programs. You do not need to be a masive fan of OFAH to enjoy this
GOD BLESS HOOKY STREET!
This is as Good as it gets if you are an ONLY FOOLS & HORSES Fan- Packed with endless poignant introspective moments and interviews that reveal some of the best tidbits of our favourite episodes, you will be unable to put this book down. Only slight out of date considering the recent Tragic death of Buster Merryfield (Uncle Albert), this compelling volume captures the essence of the TV Series that was expected to fail and often nearly found itself axed on several occasions. But be it fate or Talent ( I Prefer the Latter), the show was given life and upon chance it went onto be the Icon of British Classic Television. Featuring beautiful colour & B/W Stills and previously unreleased script portions, this is a definitive scribe that will delight the FOOLS AND HORSES Fan.
