Customer Reviews

Stupendous!5
This is simply superb! The show on Radio 4 has to be one of the best half hours of radio available, and since it is sadly currently off-air, buying this cassette will keep you going until they return with a new series. It is just phenomenal - great wit, not a word out of place, and bitingly funny. If you are a fan of Radio 4, you couldn't ask for anything better...... buy it!

Hilarious...5
Comedy impressions of politicians and celebrities, ranging from George W. Bush 'You say tomato, I say tomanatu' to Doctor Who 'my dear fellow.' All the impressions could hardly be told from the real thing, and some are so well scripted you could split your sides laughing over them. Often poking fun at important political figures, and even the BBC, all the sketches, even the lesser ones such as their somewhat dodgy Only Fools and Horses one are carried off with great wit, and the quality lasts through the whole series. A great buy.

Keeping me sane5
Dead Ringers is the latest in the phenomenal radio 4 tradition of hilarious, quintessentially English, humour. Satire, that peculiarly English trait, is embodied in this show, which has so many in-jokes concerning radio 4 that it's hard to keep pace. A mixture of "Dead Ringer" impressions, acute and biting satire and "real humour" involving phone calls to authentic restaurants and taxi firms by people ranging from Dr. Who to William Hague and Dale Winters. First class humour, worth listening to over the Internet, as I am an Ex-Pat, for that elusive animal, the genuinely funny, biting, current affairs program.
