An Impossible Act To Follow
Cooke delivers benign, wise, beautifully constructed essays on the ways of the world, and in particular the United States during a large part of the Twentieth Century. The "Letters" remain an entertaining and thought-provoking listen, and do not date even when the subject matter is by now relegated to the history books. Thoroughly recommended to discerning listeners.
