Excellent5
I was never a fan before, but I saw Felicity Finch (Ruth Archer) speak at a charity do for a charity called Health Unlimited and got interested around Christmas time. This book has helped me get all the background I needed to get up to date enough to become a fully fledged fan of the show!

a bran tub of Archers nuggets4
Equally interesting for Archers devotees, such as my dad in whose house a hushed atmosphere prevails at 7pm each evening, and for myself, a dipper into the Omnibus while peeling the Sunday potatoes. It's a bran tub of little Archers nuggets: a Rogues gallery (top villain Simon Pemberton who beat up Debbie),Bridge Farm recipes (organic naturally), a map of Borchester (there's a pub called The Goat and Nightgown), line dancing with the lascivious and adulterous Sid and Jolene, endearing photos in black and white and colour of the cast posing 'in character' around beautifully laid dining tables or in the farm shop. One of the most interesting articles was on the 1955 equivalent of Who wants to be a Millionaire versus One Foot in the Grave, when 20 million listeners heard the newly married Grace Archer die in a fire on the same night ITV was launched. I feel almost like one of the family after reading this annual and might move up the scale a bit from dipper but not as far as devotee.
