A treasure, A joy.
What an absolute treat! I've seen amatuer productions and professional productions and McGuiness's words never fail to choke me. A wonderfully funny and poignant script. It poses a real challenge. I'm currently planning to direct a production at the school where I teach and look forward to bringing this small, gem of a play to other people s attention. McGuinness writes with real understanding and uses appropriate and deepkly ironic language to bring across the plight of his characters. Read it and weep.
