Customer Reviews
Great poem, not a great reading
I love this poem and the verse translation is excellent but...the poet is not a great reader and I don't think his reading serves the poem well.
what a beautiful translation
I bought this book and CD for my husband as a present, having heard Simon Armitage reading parts of the poem on the radio. We both loved Simon's translation of the poem, my husband prefers to listen to the CD and I have found that I prefer to read the poem for myself.
